the $500 & $1000 payments to single or married taxpayers in the country is going to stimulate the economy if the people receiving the stimulus are going to spend it on foreign made products. Seems to me that the stimulus program is just going to benefit the foreign manufacturers and not help U.S. interests for the very reasons you've outlined Jim... we don't manufacture anything (or very little) in this country any more.
