Jim, it was the small unimportant stuff that was made in Japan, Mexico, etc. We had a steel industry, an auto industry, fed the world, etc etc. You did not have to tout 'Buy American' because everything made here was the best and that's what the world wanted. No one has to explain the theory of a global economy to me, I understand that. I also understand if you are not the leader, then you must follow and that's where we are heading a little more every year.
