Here are some pictures of the Virgil Earp tokens featured in our upcoming catalog, Rare and Collectible Pioneer Minor Coinage. The Aluminum piece is slabbed as genuine by NCS. At this time I do not have a picture of the obverse, however it is good for 5c. This piece is listed at $25,000. The Octagonal piece is very unusual because it is Good For A Ride (presumably to Virgil Earp’s establishment from the Veteran’s Home nearby. Fred Holabird wrote and extensive research paper on these two pieces and the entire story will be published in our Collecting Guide to the Pioneer Minor Coinage of American Saloons, due out next week for $24.95, as well as in the Rare and Collectible catalog featuring the Earp tokens. The brass piece is raw (not slabbed by NGC or NCS) and is listed at $30,000. We are very excited to be able to offer these historic pieces. Even though the printed copy of the rare and collectible catalog is not available yet we are gladly accepting offers on these pieces and may be able to offer a substantial discount if sold as a pair. We also have many other collectable tokens currently on our website and encourage you to take a look if you haven’t checked it out yet. Thank you for your inquiry and please let us know if you have any questions.
