Anyway, the "30,000 chips" notation is correct, there were 30,000 of these made. If you look in James' book you'll see that 10,000 were made in 1959 with linen inlay. In 1962, 5,000 more were made, and in 1964 a second re-order had 15,000 more made. He also says that "less than 20 are believed to exist in chip collections."
So, with 29,980 of these chips missing in action, it is a highly desirable chip, to say the least. Of course, if those 29,980 chips show up it'll be a whole different ballgame, but as it stands now it's a solid $1,500+ chip.
