Thanks guys
I guess the part I do not fully understand is: If Gene and I,for example, are the only two left in a hand and Gene was to ask me: "So Rick....do you have AK?" If I did indeed have an AK, and felt like answering him at all,and told the truth, then that would be wrong?
On the other hand....if he asked me and I said that I have a pair, for example(obviously lying)then that would be OK?
Strangely enough,if I lied and said that I had a pair, then Gene would then know, that since I was not allowed to tell the truth,I could not possibly have a pair and then he could put me on that AK in theory.
Suppose,as Jamie Gold did when he won the WSOP,I said that I "might" have AK. Is that OK?
I know....different rules for different rooms and situations and all that but am just curious about it as I see so many players doing this.
I know that in some home games with friends some players occasionally do it and it is in fun. Mind you.....we don't always believe each other,it just seems to make the game a bit more social. Mind you....we are playing in tourneys that might cost $50 to enter...not $5,000.
Thanks for the input.
