Take a look at the scans. The 1970s chips are more ilayed plain molds than crest & seals. As you can see, the chip making process has evolved (I like to day devolved).

The dates shown is my best guestimate.

In my opinion the best c&s were made in the 1910s to 1940s and progressively went downhill
