I agree with Jane. I cancelled (chickened out) on my original knee replacment date ... but after hobbling around in Puerto Rico on what was supposed to be a dream vacation ... the first thing I did when I got back home was to reschedule the surgery. That was in March of last year and today I'm very happy I had it done. I wouldn't say that I'm 100% back to normal, but I'm pain free today doing routine things that I couldn't do a year ago.
Hang in there Nancy. The first 3-4 weeks are the hardest. You'll be fine if you do the physical therapy religiously.
