for an office, do it. There's no magic to it...if you know of someone that YOU feel is qualified to be on the BoD, you should nominate them. You may want to discuss it with them first, but even that's not really necessary because if they don't want to run, they can simply decline the nomination. That person does need TWO nominations to be considered, though. I nominated two people this year that did not accept their nominations. One was warned, the other wasn't. This isn't the "Rock of Love" tour bus, where a pool of "talent" is on display & then we choose who gets to run. You've been around the club for awhile, you've been involved in many things...you may know someone or of several people whom you think may be qualified & capable to serve....you should NOMINATE that person(s). If they accept, great!! If they don't, at least you have done the club a service by adding your thought & involvement to the process.
