I made the point because at least 5 people asked me if I would stand for President if nominated.
I had already made my decision at the convention, having spoken to the five that I in turn nominated (being the 4 unopposed and Mark).
I think I even made a post here to that effect.
I know of two other people who similarly declined nominations. In fact, looking at the list I would make that three, so I am sure there must be more.

A 1% membership submission of nomination forms is the norm in most organisations.
There were the exact same number of candidates nominated this time as 2 years ago. I dont see a problem, I think its exactly what you would expect.
