I've always noticed that Tuesday has been very light in these parts; thus I do not even bother driving out to the post office to get my mail. Other than local, that mail posted on a Monday will never be delivered on a Tuesday and Friday's local posted mail usually arrives the following Monday... while Wed is a big mail day with all the supermarket sale flyers; real estate sales listing about town and general mail posted on a Monday.

Personally, I would favor a no mail Saturday plan.
