They took reasonably current notes that are in circulation and others that the designs have not changed much (making them easy to pass). The ONE exception was a saddle blanket note (a 1923 One Dollar bill that is 25% larger than current notes). I wrote that off as being taken as a novelty simply because it was different.

Word is out that I have images and serial numbers from all the notes. The large note I mentioned was later found in my driveway. Odd the one that would not pass easily and could be identified was thrown out. I am reasonably sure it was AFTER the police left since it was found where the cop would have walked when he exited his car. Plus it rained, the note was found dry. Looks like someone getting scared and trying the throw off the 'scent' of the dogs to me. I am guessing you are right on target (kids).

We are close, 4~5 possibilities, but no hard evidence yet.
