This is an important heads up for any of you who play on DOYLES ROOM poker site.
As you know, Doyles Room just instituted an update with a new software program. They have left Microgaming and went to a new one. I asked the CSR on their live chat help who said they are now powered by CAKE Poker.
Playability is fine, with several new style tourneys and such, and better screen shots and all.
The point I need to let you all be aware of this:
CAKE allows various buy in options, but you can ONLY cashout via NetTeller. When I went to NetTeller's site, There was a FAQ for USA players which said that all of their USA members were sent a e-mail telling them to withdraw all funds by January 26, 2009. After this date, they would not be able to log on to their accounts.
I for one, found this more than just a coincidence, that the date in question came only ONE day before the transition of them becoming an affiliate with CAKE poker.
Just in case, I did a full cashout with Doyles Room, which still offerred all its usual cashout options, including the check by mail, (which in recent months has slowed from 2 weeks to 4-6 weeks for delivery) which only time will tell if I will ever see.
The only consolation is that I never deposited any money into Doyles, but won it all in freeroll tourneys, which I parlayed into several decent size cashouts over time, so I guess Im not REALLY losing any money.
I know that this site (Doyles) was not as popular as others for playing on, but some of you might find this new info of interest.
