Don, Why would they refuse to cash it? (Provided it is a valid current chip) If I were to walk up to a roulette table get lucky and win a $1,000 (dealer pays me a $1000 chip) I might have trouble cashing it in if I am not a high level player or have a players card? Or do they watch every single $1000 chip as it is won and carried around the casino floor, and possibly out the door and back in a few days later.... THATS INCREDIBLE!

The auction looks like the guy is willing to take a hit on the value since he is a couple thousand miles from the cage and needs the money. Question is: Is it worth $40 for the trouble (tying up your money and waiting on the chip then have to physically take it in to cash as well as risk a loss in the mail), and will it CLOSE at that price with no more bids?
