Had to run to the other end of the city to pick up some equipment for work on Monday and I stopped at a popular local sporting goods outfit to make my purchase. Just coming dark, icy snow and slippery roads everywhere, windy and cold. I'd guess about every third person I passed in the store smelled like they had been drinking! Oh that's always a good way to cope with winter road conditions.
I'm scooting around really well in my Subaru Forester, the first real bad weather I've encountered with it and the all-wheel drive is working for me. A testimonial to anyone interested are my snow tires. I running an alternatative to studded snow tires, Bridgestone Blizzaks. They are working real well and handle the icy packed snow just as well as studded tires would. Something to think about if you need this kind of setup.
Everybody be carefull out there!
