Since Jim McNally liked the British West African note I decided to select a note from the other side of the continent. I selected the 1943 issue 1 Shilling from the East Africa Currency Board. Like the West African note East Africa was also an administrative grouping of several neighboring British territories: Kenya, Tanganyika, Uganda and Zanzibar.

The front features King George VI at left and the back has a standing Lion against the mountains of Kenya. ENJOY!!
