Think of it this way with all the additives they put in bread, you could leave that stuff out in the Sahara for six months and it wouldn't get stale.
What is the difference if you bought it on the last day of sale in the market for full price or for a fraction of that at the outlet store a day later.
After all I doubt you would go home and eat the whole loaf in one night to make sure you got it all down before the expiration date
