() It sure could have been worded a whole lot better by explaining that James neded the support and not by calling people "Jerks" for not buying directly from a club member.
When the BOD tried to do everything we could by asking that members book their convention rooms thru the club it was for a similar reason, to support the club and the hobby.
However one HUGE difference, we never called anyone names who choose to book thru a company like Hotels.com or Travelocity as it is understandable that people always look for the best deal.
It saddens me deeply to see that this was said to begin with, but even more so to see it posted on this bulletin board for all to see, including potential members who read this thread.
Not a good move for the future of this hobby as it could have been handled VERY differently.
Just my humble opinion.
