Having been close to James I have got to see what a painstaking process it is to put this book together. Why he does it is beyond me. It's certainly not for financial gain!!
I would hope when the new Gaming Table and Chip Rack comes out you would buy from the authors or a dealer within the collecting community.
Not a whole lot different than staying at the host hotel for the annual convention.
As I said before there are very few that will take the time and bear the expense to produce these guides.
And yes as James noted, if you buy outside the hobby you are a jerk. I think that's being polite. THAT IS JUST MY OPINION AND MINE ALONE.
As for "setting" the price on Ebay sales...Get Real...He may place a reserve on some chips to protect himself and in this economy that is necessary on some items.
This hobby and the CCGTCC is suffering but there are some good people working hard to try and change that.
