NCR, BankNote of the Day.....

The Arab Republic of Egypt is located on the northeastern corner of Africa.

1989 Issue of the 50 Piastre
(Front) Al Azhar Mosque and its minarets with Islamic decoration. On the left side of the note there is the name of the Central Bank of Egypt with the value in letters underneath, then the Governor’s signature. The right upper corner contains the value in figures inside a geometric decoration in green. The left lower corner contains the value in figures inside a geometric decoration in light green. (Back) The upper part of the statue of Ramses II, backed by a vertical multi-colored ornamental band and a collection of lotus flowers and the sun boat. At the bottom right corner appears a Pharaonic cartouche. On the left side of the note is a drawing taken from the facade of a Pharaonic temple on top of which is the Bank’s name and the value in English . The right upper corner contains the value in figures inside an ornamental pattern in brown. The left lower corner contains the value in figures inside a multi-colored quarter of a circle featuring a collection of lotus flowers. ENJOY!!
