Here in Portland, we're at 25 degrees with 3" on the ground. I'm loaded to 70,000 lbs and will attempt to deliver in Eugene OR. about 100 miles away. I've trucked through snow from Syskiou Summit to Winnapeg, Susanville to Kittimat BC. but I'm kinda spooked about this trip. Guess with all the hundreds of hours and miles of day/night snow trucking, I know I really should just go back to bed.
I know, everyone has snow but in this part of the world the snow is really really different. Nature is perfection and we get blessed with Absolute Zero coefficient of friction when our snow gets packed down. Imagine a couple hundred Wile E. Cayotes in a Roadrunner cartoon...that's us in the PNW. SPLAT.
Oh well, at least I'm doing something useful out there, hopin' not to take out a school bus (or a school) if I have a problem.
