Tonight's notes come from the past Olympics held in Beijing China....
The Bank of China (Hong Kong) and the Bank of China Macau branch have issued the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Commemorative Banknote in the denominations HK $20 and MOP $20 respectively. These were purchased as a set thus the identical serial numbers. The HK$ 20 alone sells for HK$ 138 in China where the amount over face value is paid for royalties, graphics and the remaining is donated to charity. There were only slightly over 3 million produced and distributed worldwide. It may have a great potential for future appreciation. Who knows? ENJOY
The front side of the banknote features the relic of the ancient Olympic stadium, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games emblem, The Bank of China (BOC) Tower in Hong Kong (HK Dollar) and the Bank of China building in Macau (MOP Patacas).
The reverse side of the banknote is the Beijing Olympic Stadium or the National Stadium (known as the 'Bird's Nest'), along with the traditional Chinese lucky clouds graphic as well as the city flower of Hong Kong – the bauhinia flower (HK Dollar) and that of Macau – the lotus flower (MOP Patacas).
