When I was 16 years old it snowed 18" in Chicago on the day I was scheduled to take my amateur radio license test. I took the train down from Milwaukee, trudged thru the snow to the federal building, started taking the test and 5 minutes later they come in and tell me to go home because they were closing. GEEEEZ!! When I first moved to TN we had an incredible 23" of snow. I was one of 3 or 4 people out of 250 employees who showed up for work that day. Whole town was pretty much shut down for a week. I can drive thru at least 8" of snow without any real problems. The biggest trouble is people with 4 wheel drive vehicles who CAN get around but don't realize that even if they can get through the snow they can't stop as fastas they need to.
I went thru 40 years of photos last nite but couldn't find any of that snow storm in Milwaukee.
