The people next door to us before we moved 3 years ago won the TN lottery last week. He had a shop that repaired motorcycles which he had to close due to bad business last year. They were about 3 months from declaring bankruptcy. They used to have a Hummer but that is probably gone now. They won $200,000 in the TN lottery (hit all of the numbers but not the powerball) and also played the multiplier so the total win was $800K. I am just trying to figure out why someone looking at bankruptcy can afford the $20 he says he spent on lottery tickets??
