BUT the bottom line is that as long as they keep printing the results that they are, people will shy away from the big 3.
Lets face it, with the exception of buying a house, a car purchase is probably the second largest investment you will ever make.
Before spending $30,000, $40,000, or even $50,000 on a new car, what consumer wouldnt want to know how its rated.
I make it a point to read the CR auto issue every time before I buy a new car to see the ratings and this last time I must admit an American car was not even in the running.
This is obviously something the big 3 need to look at if they want to survive.
