Terrie and I are fine. Thank you for asking. as far as business goes to be honest if it was terrible, THAT would be an improvement. As you know, the nature of my business is quite seasonal to begin with and depends on the auto industry ( Class 8 Trucks etc ) With new pollution regulations causing unit prices to climb as much as $5-10k per unit, not many are willing to spend $100-150k for a new chassis.
I find more and more people are willing to spent 10-12k on repairs rather than buy new. So the bottom line is yes, it has had a severe impact on me and my lifestlye.
On the same token I didn't complain when things were good and now won't when they are bad, I'll just weather the storm.

I too took a beating in the stock market right from the decline of tech stocks. I'm afraid you are right, it will take sometime for this to recover....years i'm afraid.
I also don't think that now with online trading, day traders etc you will ever see the market of years ago. imho, you will see volatility with downturns and upswings on a regular basis.
In all honesty, the small investor like myself would probably be best off keeping his money in his mattress.
