While laid off from Ford Motor Co in the early '80's, I was an auto mechanic at a Dodge dealer that sold Mitsubishi cars. Iinstalled air conditioners in almost every car that we sold. Today our cars are not judge by things gone wrong per 100 as in the 70's and 80's, but quality is so good, it is now measured by "TGW" per 1000 and it is usually a single digit.
