I am glad you liked the story. It was fun for me to read again. When I read it I see all the action unfolding as if it were last week.

I always felt that 5 things had to fall into place for this story to happen.

• #1 the collection had to stay together for 14 years and not be sold a few at a time.
  
• #2 I bought them 14 days before the 95 convention, so I had no time to sell off any of them a few at a time.
  
• #3 the collection was more than I could afford, so I had to sell some of the chips. If I could afford to keep all the chips they would have gone right into my collection and not seen the light of day, so I would not have taken all the chips to the 95 convention.
  
• #4 Phil had to be at the convention in 95 and see them at my table in a large lot.
  
• #5 I had to believe they were Phil’s stolen chips.

All this happened like clock work, so I wrote the story “Chip find of a Life Time”
