Croft was around very early in the Syndicate days, as early as 1940. He had points in the Lookout House and the Yorkshire and was a Syndicate guy until almost the end. There was some speculation that he may have been involved in the Ratterman drugging which he denied to Dale Stevans and old WNOP disc jockey and bar fly around Newport.
I wonder if the "Boys" dumped Croft as part of the distancing from the Ratterman/Tropicana incident they attempted to do? Remember, the Syndicate denied any involvement in the April Flowers/Georgie Ratterman set-up.
