The Ponderosa (1967-1985) was an ill fated club located south of the main casino area in Reno. They had a decent hotel and smallish gaming area but never seemed to be a hit. They became a "Gentleman's" club (1990-1992) after the original Ponderosa closed. There was a big deal in the papers a few years ago when they sold the huge sign - a very large Ponderosa Pine - just like on the chip. Great looking chips though - hard to find too.
