That Orange Bowl game to me means at least one BCS game is set up to bring big bucks to the smaller schools. Nothing more nothing less. Where is Texas Tech in all this??? Shame on the BCS! BUT playoffs would mean doing away with the Divison Playoff games and that will never happen....unless the price is right! I would have loved to see a playoff of Alabama vs Texas and OU vs Florida then the BIG game. But a several week playoff system would mean these kids have to prepare for more extra season games, everyday for several weeks and these are KIDS...college kids...in school with mid terms and an education and a future to prepare for. Only a few stars from each team are going into the pros. That leaves what, 50 plus players that need an education for their future lives. You can't let them make College teams become professional style teams. They aren't paid professionals...they are kids! School has to come first before sports no matter how many stars they have on their team!
Anyway...the Oklahoma game is going to be a good one. They will talking all about Stoops around here from now till then. Spurier gave him his big break and Stoops is a great coach... an ex defencive Gator coach. So he knows the ins and outs of both sides. Plus, the majority of the Gators fans still love the guy! He, like Strong was a big hero here and he was the first one offered the job when Spurier left. It will be a great game!
