My Advertising chip of the day is the Seymour coded PY-EJ v:f The Far West Travelers Assosiation. This is a very attractive inlaid litho with it's "THE F W T A" on a RED inverted triangle. The history of this chip is a mystery to me like so many of the old antique chips that I collect. I always want to find out more and I guess that is why I post them on this site. What I can find is this: In the early 1800s there was a Mormon settlement about 50 miles NNE of Kansas City, Missouri called FAR WEST. I do not know if there is connection to the chip or to the Far West Travelers Association. Any information that you could share is appreciated.
