Does sportscaster bias really figure into the BCS standings?

And does this mean the University of Michigan is out of the running for the national title (or a co-championship)??? If so, my brother is going to be devaSTATEd. He always tells me U-M has the best team, best uniforms, best stadium, best fight song, best school colors, best marching band, and the most humility.
