While the person in question was supposedly only fixing these chips and not selling them.... I'm not saying otherwise. I would venture that somewhere along the line some these chips did find their way into the marketplace to decieve others.

Sure as long as there is a market, it will continue but being aware that this does occur will also make it less likely that someone else gets duped.

Yes, the blame should be put on those that request the service but being we can't we can at least educate those that may not be in the know.
