I checked my research & even thought TGT lists Quito I'm leaning towards La Libertad, Ecuador. Samarina & the seahorse seem to suggest an ocean side location? (big guess!) & all references to Casino or Hotel Samarina (pricy hotels) I can find is in La Libertad. That's my story & I'm sticking to it (until of course someone tells me I'm wrong )
