I know what you are saying Pete and I usually use GOJO and it works well. But that is on Casino Chips. The lanolyn is actually good for them. She shows antique engraved poker chips and it looks as if the paper she has them on is stained with some kind of oil. I have used Olive Oil on plain polished chips... ok no problem, but on engraved chips of any value? I don't think so. I can always tell an antique chip that has been "washed" with something because it sparkles.
