e-mails from various past, current & potential members noting the lack of civility by displayed many of the posters on this this BB. And, yes, I realize that this is not the
bulletin board, so let's NOT go there. The fact remains that this BB gets more "action" than does the
BB and as such, those who are
members should be aware of how their comments are perceived. There are many here that offer excellent help to those that seek it, whether the person with the question is a
member or not -- that's the correct way to promote this club. Imagine yourself as someone that has just started collecting, eager to learn, eager to join a group of people that share a similar interest and you stumble upon this site -- how would you look at the
and some of it's members?? People post using their membership numbers and for some, it provides a level of comfort knowing that you are dealing with another
member. But sometimes, using a
membership number can be detrimental to the club as many may look at some of these posts & wonder what kind of an organization is this?
It may be "PollyAna-ish" of me, but take a moment before you hit that "POST" buton to think about what you are saying and how it reflects, both on yourself & on the .
Thanks.
