I love them too Roy. They are beautiful little pieces of Art and History. How old are they? Who knows for sure but as rare as they are they are probably pre 1900 but no clay composite chips were made before 1880. The DOG is PA-DA or a maybe a variation... the PICK & SHOVEL is in the 2008 code update as PM-QQv:h. It is always a great day when you can find an uncoded chip. I have attached a picture of one of my favorite uncoded chips but I am not sure how old it is because it is scrimshaw and it probably never will be coded. I found it at an antique store in Tombstone. Just thought you might like to see it. Now if I can just post the right picture... JACK
