Jay ... I'm not suggesting that I've never purchased a cleaned chip ... nor am I suggesting that I've never cleaned a chip. Quite the contrary. However, worn chips with rounded edges that are sparkling clean should not deceive anyone (especially novices) into thinking that they now own a high grade chip... nor should they pay a premium for a chip that now looks washed out, faded, and no longer the original color. Some chip cleaning techniques are simply too harsh. There is a right way to clean chips and a wrong way to clean chips.
