... into a trade where one chip is worth $1,450 (because that's what the market was pulling for that chip time-after-time on eBay) and the balance offer is worth $500 (what the rest of them have sold for), there should be a concern from the person who just bought that $1,450 chip from you when he/she calls to ask for advice in order to learn if they're getting screwed.
It doesn't take much to be turned off when such attempts are repeated; especially when the values run well into thousands of dollars... and the lame excuse about the buyer/trader should be aware [of every aspect of the hobby's market] just doesn't cut it.
