Remember that year the Houston Texans has the #1 pick and they passed on him because they said they already had their Quarterback of the future....... wow did that turn out great as they fired Carr the very next year.
They also passed on The #1 Running back in the draft (Bush) as they said they had that position covered yet found out the very next year that they needed to add to that position.
Remember the stud they decided to draft? He lead the team in sacks the next year with 1-1/2. Wow, he actually has a full 1-1/2 sacks more than my dog.
The reason I stated that Vince should have been the #1 draft pick was that he would have packed the stadium here in Houston and sold out every home game. The Majority of Houstonians are HUGE Longhorn fans and based on how they packed the Big12 Championship at Reliant Center, the Texans could have done the same.
Now you can actually hear an echo when you shout at the games. In my opinion it was a poor business decision that the Texans are STILL paying for.
Now is Vince actually that bad? Remember he was rushed as a rookie draft pick to the starting QB position without any mentorship. How many other fresh out of college QB's have excelled in their first few years?
I am not saying he is a great QB, or for that matter, even good, but compared to what I have seen playing for the Texans, he definately wouldnt suck..........
