Dont forget that Texas had 5 dropped passes in the first half. That equals the total dropped passes for the entire first 6 games of the year. All 5 of those passes were for 1st downs and if even half of them were made we never would have been behind to begin with.
Lets also not forget that if it werent for a gimme interception that was dropped on the last drive, Texas would have won.
So, I am not trying to take anything away from Tech who played a fantastic game, but in the game against Texas, they were most definately beatable.
So the way I see it, no matter what happened the rest of the game, the difference in who won and who lost was in the last few plays of the game.... same as the Florida/Ole Miss game which I was trying to compare it to.
By the way, if your up for a bet, I take Oklahoma against Tech this week. It will be a close game, but I am pretty sure Oklahoma will take them.
What happened to Kansas? They were supposed to be our late season ranked opponent, but by the time Texas got to them they were off the chart?
