I am requesting prayer for a very dear friend of ours. Rocky Herring is in critical condition in Phoenix AZ. He was the pilot of a small airplane that crashed near Sedona, AZ. His two uncles who were passengers died in the crash. Rocky was burned very badly. It happened in a heavily forested area on a mountain about eight miles outside Sedona. He managed to crawl out of the wreckage through fire. A New York firefighter on vacation was camping in the area. He saw the plane go down. It took him 30 minutes to reach Rocky. Rocky had made a call to 911 and was on the phone with them when the guy arrived. He is in a wonderful burn facility in Phoenix and has currently been put in a drug induced coma. Please pray for him and his family.
Rocky owned the Piper Cherokee and flew it for Wings for Promise Inc., a charity organization which he chairs that flies patients to medical facilities free of charge. He is a good guy.
