To me at least, a sport poses a challange. Going into the woods with a laser sighted weapon is no longer sport in any sense nor is it sport to when one is taken to an area where animals are basically stocked for slaughter

Here is a better argument, Don't hunt.
You may not actually know this but they sell meat in stores
OK, you promise me that you will no longer sit down at a resturant and order a burger and I will stop taking to the woods to kill living things.
Just because your meal has been dispatched on your behalf out of your sight does not make you somehow morally superior to the hunter (even the hunter armed with the latest technology) who dispatches a deer. I can afford the check too, so that is not the issue. I don't like to live my life in denial. We live. We impact. We use other creatures for our benefit. I am OK with that, and so are you, at least if you are being honest with yourself.
When you are ready to give up all those little creature comforts (like your car, your clothes, and your home) that make life so cozy, we can discuss it. Till then, why don't you come on over for some nice Pecan Crusted Venison Tenderloin with a side of Trout Almondine and a nice glass of Pinot, and I promise not to laugh when you ask for seconds!
