I have been an Elk since 1958 in Sioux Falls. We had chips then and once a month the club would have a Las Vegas night; out would come a craps table; poker tables and other gambling stuff. I haven't been back since 1967 nor been in other Elks clubs (though I am still a member). However, I can assure you that the Elks chips with BPOE numbers were used in the clubs.
