Re: How I started chipping.
Great story Larry, wished we had met years ago. Las Vegas has been my favorite place since the early 1960s....on one trip I got tired of losing all my money and always coming home broke...so, one morning I found a way to do something very different. I started at Circus Circus and went to the blackjack table and played. Once I had won a $5, $1 and 25 cent chip (if they had them), I left and went to the next casino and did the same thing. I walked and walked and my pockets were overflowing....I got back to Foxies Firehouse Casino and did the same thing...Keep in mind that I had my original $100 PLUS tons of chips that I had won. At Foxies I noticed that they had a couple different $5 chips so I had to get both of them....well, I wound up losing my $100 but I did get all the Foxies chips....bet I had $200 in chips that I had won...So it was a good day and my start into chip collecting....A few years later I started the Bellflower show...Tables were $15 and $1 admission...had crowds of people...we used to stack up chips and trade straight across....stack for stack, long before The Chip Rack...Many of my old chip collecting friends from Bellflower still come to CASINORAMA and the SUPER SHOW.....I couldn't have picked a better hobby....thanks all !!!!!!
