Yes, this exchange should never have happened. Many of us knew that it would eventually end up the way it did as there was way too much prodding from one side.
I am not here to judge who was right and who was wrong, but I am here to debate your statement that this is a reflection on the .
It has been stated many, many times before that
1) This is not a maintained or monitored board
2) There is a policy to allow people to discuss whatever they wish by the owner of the board
Now you try and point out that 80%+ of the posters on here are members. Do 80% of those posters do the same as those in the thread that you point to?..... or is it more like just a few.
Here is a good analogy.
I have a regular poker game at my house. It just so happens that most (If not all) the players are members because I am friendly with many of them. On one night a discussion breaks out about politics (Absolutely nothing to do with chips) Tempers flare, words are exchanges and maybe even a fight breaks out.
Would I be correct in saying that why would I be a member of a club that has 2 people that act that way? Lets ignore the other 2000 or so people who were not even there. Lets ignore the fact that this has nothing to do with the award winning magazine, the informational website, the numerous programs, the convention, or anything else.....
Seems like a pretty silly statement doesnt it??????
Just something to consider.
