The Del Mar Lounge: Small, but very nice bartender and impressive liquor display. Very cozy and quietly away from the gaming floor area.
The Lobby Bar. This is close to hotel registration and we can probably all get into trouble for throwing things at fellow chippers checking in late.......so don't be late !
The Island Bar.
Probably the largest bar surface area and smack in the center of the casino (easily twice the size of the entire Splashbar). Once again, spotlessly clean with a very friendly staff. I had dental surgery done the day before our Vegas trip (bad idea) and was living on aspirin. I did not have to wait 20 seconds for service and a much needed glass of water (to take my aspirin).
Plus they have these really cool color-changing neon discs built into the bar top...they change color every 30 seconds or so. Fun to just set your drink on top and watch the colors change while playing Video Poker.
And HERE is where I think Brian "Splashman" Cashman and the chippers will make a bigger and better Splashbar....it's called the Silverado Bar. I apologize for the darkness, but I was trying to show you all that there must be 30 - 40 tables off to the sides of the bar.....plenty of room for ALL of us at any hour! My tour guide/bellman thought they have a happy hour also, but was not positive...yeah, like we need a "happy hour" - chippers are naturally happy!
This is gonna be the BEST convention yet!
