The employees are genuinely happy and without even asking, go out of their way to go "above-and-beyond" in customer service. Everywhere we turned, someone wanted to help us or say hello....nice!
We arrived at the South Point Casino around 7 am. Very quiet as many people were still asleep. Darrell was having fun playing a cool penny machine, so I wandered over to the check-in counter and asked if I might see a room. "No problem" immediately replied the smiling clerk and within a few minutes, I was whisked up to a "king room" on the 12th floor by a bellman for a guided tour. There are three "wings" on each floor, so you can not get too lost - you just have to remember which floor you are on and which way to turn when you exit the elevators (yippee, no hike to the "back 40" to get to your room here!).
The first and main thing I noticed about the entire casino and the rooms were - this place is bright, airy and SUPER CLEAN!!!
King Room:
High quality linens, an Ipod docking station, overhead lights, in room internet connections, and much, much more!
The king room has a king size bed with a couch area. The queen room will have 2 queen beds, but no couch.
King room couch area:
This couch is to the right of the king bed and next to the window. Once again, SPOTLESS (also notice how clean the carpet is)!
Poor bellman looked confused when I remarked;" Wow, no swimsuit butt-prints".... "Of course not", he said...
The bathrooms are a good size, with the shower separate from the sink area. Coffee makers are standard and come with coffee pods (regular and decaf), creamer, sugar and tea bags. Decent shampoos, hair dryer, fluffy towels, etc.
,
Flat screen TV's and a desk and chair next to the TV area (a small dining table with 2 chairs is to the left of the TV in this room). The man in the desk mirror reflection is my "tour guide"/bellman!
A big closet with an extra pillow and a FREE electronic safe in it across from the bathroom. There is also a full length mirror to the right of the closet (nice for the ladies).
View from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the pool area...sorry, the morning reflection/sheers got in the way (I was trying to shoot pictures quickly and not tie up the bellman's time!).
The vending area in the wing on the 12th floor (snack machines are on the left side). Once again, spotlessly clean!
All-in-all, I am VERY excited about staying here...should be LOADS of fun. I applaud the hard work and efforts of the BOD on securing us such a GREAT place for our next convention!
My next post will be a tour of the casino...... I think I found a great Splashbar!! Wooooooo!
I thought my friendly bellman would ditch me after we left the room, but he insisted on taking me for a "deluxe tour" - lucky for all of us!!
