Yes Fred,I coach juniors and seniors but am one of only two(now)junior coaches in British Columbia.
Four of my girls have won the Canadians and two have gone on to make the national team. I am quite proud of them all.
I also coach boys but the boys tend to think that they know everything after a year or two so they become very difficult to coach.
Have been a seniors coach for 12 years now as well, but I prefer the kids because they are not afraid to try even if they fail. I find that many seniors are negative and afraid to fail.I try and make it fun for all of the people I coach so that they learn by having fun first. Tough job sometimes but I love it!!
Yes,I have played bocce. Different style/game than lawn bowls of course, but easy to play as long as you have good form/delivery etc.
Which Del Webb resort are you in? Arizona? Florida? If you are in Arizona,I can help you when we come down in March/April. If you are in Florida...well...that would be a long trek for me
You probably played better at the beginning because you played with instinct. Now,you might be thinking too much. Work on your form and delivery and practice, practice, practice. Try different shots, play different lengths, just have fun....it will get better.
