Rick, I've been to the US 4 times & from Sydney to LAX it's roughly 14 hours. Never been up to Canada though....and yeah 22 hours is getting a bit long to be stuck in a plane.
Still worth it though for a summer Down Under! Go on, do it!! My shout when you're here
